Wye Valley's Golden Ale (4.2% abv) is selling at a record setting pace at the Horse & Groom Inn at Upper Oddington, Cotswolds with demand at an all-time high. A single barrel was gone in a day. A record!
With its full flavour and zesty character, Golden Ale really is the perfect beer for a relaxing summers day. Brewed with 2 of Herefordshire's finest hops, Goldings and Fuggles to provide a succulent aroma resulting in an award-winning combination. Conditioned to perfection in our cellar for a minimum of 48 hours ensures a perfect pint every time.
With an amazingly fresh mild taste of honey and floral notes, this is the perfect companion for chicken, salad and a good ol' burger. Norman Liu, one of the owners of the Horse and Groom says "Wye Valley has hit the nail on the head with this one, perfect for the summer and extremely refreshing - a text book summer ale. I would be extremely content drinking this on a hot summer day with a burger watching the world go by".
Golden Ale is a popular hit amongst CAMRA, who have awarded Wye Valley many awards over the years, including 1st in the West Midlands Beer of the Year. They are also providers of another very popular ale at the Horse & Groom Inn, Wye Valley Bitter - more about this one later!
